+ DO I NEED
TO MAKE
AN
APPOINTMENT?
Yes. At this time, we are only accepting patients on an appointment-made basis only. The appointment scheduling process is very simple + quick, and your request is delivered immediately to our care team.
+ HOW DOES
IV VITAMIN THERAPY
WORK?
IV Vitamin Therapy works by administration of vitamins and nutrients directly into the bloodstream, thus bypassing the digestive system. This provides increased cellular absorption and 100% availability of vitamins via IV infusion. Booster injections are administered via intramuscular (IM) injection so there is no GI metabolism required, which also allows for increased absorption. With oral supplements, your cells only absorb approximately 20% of your intake after filtering through your digestive system.
+ WHO ADMINISTERS
THE IV'S?
We have a powerful team at Mind Body + Soul, consisting of our Medical Director (MD), Nurse Practitioner (APRN) and excellent Registered Nurses (RN's). All of our Hydration Providers are nurses who have significant experience as Registered Nurses in hospitals, so we pride ourselves on our IV skills being the best.
+ IS IV
THERAPY
SAFE?
At Mind Body + Soul, our IV infusions protocols and Booster Injections were developed with the collaboration of our partnering pharmacy and reviewed and approved by a board certified physician. There has been thorough research to explore the benefits and effects of IV therapy treatment. Prior to each treatment, a state-licensed nurse will review your Vital Signs, physical assessment, medical history, allergies, and current symptoms. Based on that assessment, we will determine whether it is in your best interest to be treated that day. We are medical professionals first, and we always keep the safety of the client at the forefront of our practice. It should be noted that all medical therapies carry a risk, therefore it is important for the patient to understand the risks, benefits and alternatives and to receive therapies only from certified medical personnel.
+ WHO CAN
RECEIVE
THIS SERVICE?
The majority of interested clients are rendered eligible. However, we reserve the right to refuse treatment for multiple reasons, including but not limited to: medical contraindication and safety precautions. From time to time, we choose not to treat patients, not because they will not benefit from the therapies, but because they may require additional diagnostic testing or monitoring. We take pride in our professionalism and your safety is our priority. Furthermore, at this time, we have strict guidelines with regards to treating patients younger than 18 years of age or pregnant/lactating women without a prescription from your provider. Caution is advised in those with known congestive heart failure, renal failure, or liver disease. Please consult with your primary care physician prior to treatment.
+ WILL IT
HURT?
It is not uncommon to experience a moderate fear of needles and we understand that. Our certified medical staff is highly experienced and thoroughly trained. We take the time to explain throughout the process and to keep you as comfortable as possible during the initial IV insertion. The insertion of the IV is quick and will typically feel like a small "pinch," then you will be relaxing and on your way to being replenished in no time!
+ HOW LONG
DOES THE
INFUSION
TAKE?
Each infusion generally requires 30-60 mins. Your provider may use different IV catheter sizes, pressure bags, or drip rates specific to your personal needs. Your provider will do a general assessment of your vascular system to determine the best option for IV placement.
+ HOW OFTEN
SHOULD I
GET A
TREATMENT?
Everyone's individual physical needs vary based on age, metabolism, lifestyle and diet. Our clinicians will assist you in making the best possible decisions for treatment based on their assessment. While our vitamins and additives are safe + beneficial to infuse, we generally limit our clients to one infusion or injection every 7 days.
